The Ninja Turtles are a huge phenomenon that began exactly thirty years ago as a black-and-white comic book. Heavyweight action blockbuster producer Michael Bay decided that now was the time for these unique fighters against evil to leave the pages of magazines and TV series and finally burst onto the big screen in all their glory. Bay was just as determined when he pushed for the first Transformers movie, which earned him a place in the elite club of today's most successful film sagas. And history may repeat itself. New York City desperately needs heroes. It is ruled by fear and the all-powerful Shredder, whose position as ruler of the underworld is completely unshakeable until four armored warriors with extraordinary abilities appear in the city's sewers as a result of a failed genetic experiment. Where there are Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael, there must also be the curious reporter April (Megan Fox). Together, they uncover Shredder's terrifying plans to expand his empire and decide to thwart them with their own significantly improved powers...
