Why Experience Blood Simple in a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook?

The 4K Ultra HD presentation paired with HDR (HDR10 / Dolby Vision) brings astonishing visual depth, deep black levels, and razor-sharp contrast to the film's sun-bleached Texas setting. Sourced from a native 4K digital restoration approved by the Coen brothers, the transfer reveals astounding fine detail—from Barry Sonnenfeld’s groundbreaking cinematography and sweat-drenched close-ups to the iconic shafts of light piercing through bullet holes. Furthermore, the remastered DTS-HD Master Audio track reproduces Carter Burwell’s haunting score and quiet, tense atmospheric sound design with pristine dynamic clarity.

In the world of passion and deceit, murder is blood simple...

In a small Texas town, jealous bar owner Julian Marty (Dan Hedaya) suspects his young wife Abby (Frances McDormand) is having an affair with one of his bartenders, Ray (John Getz). Marty hires Visser (M. Emmet Walsh), a sleazy, corrupt private investigator, to snap photos of the lovers and execute them. But Visser hatches a double-crossing plot of his own. What follows is a chaotic cascade of tragic misunderstandings, where no character possesses the full truth, and every attempt to cover up a crime plunges everyone deeper into a nightmare of paranoia and violence...
