Description:

To the Sound of Music stars Maria (Julie Andrews) as a young, spirited girl who leaves the convent to become the governess of the seven children of a dashing soldier, Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). Maria turns the bitter widower's life upside down: she breaks the rules of the beautiful Alpine house and sneaks music and fun into everyday life.
Nominated for ten Oscars, this charming and heartwarming musical was eventually awarded five of these prized statuettes and has been one of the most popular family films for decades.
