Description:

No film has managed to capture the 1920s as perfectly as this romantic take on J.F. Fitzgerald's classic work. Robert Redford excels as Jay Gatsby. Jay was once in love with Daisy Buchanan (Mia Farrow), but the spoiled girl preferred a wealthier suitor. But now Gatsby is rich too... and determined to give anything to win Daisy back. This two-Oscar®-winning film also boasts fine performances by the other protagonists and a great screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola. Above all, it evokes the atmosphere of a time when jazz was lively and champagne was served cold, when women were as exotic and demanding as hothouse flowers... and when the dream of men was not to be, but to have.
