War of the Worlds - 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray (Remastered version)

Screenwriter David Koepp "adapted" H.G. Wells' famous novel of the same name, which is based on the Martian invasion of planet Earth, and moved the story from the late nineteenth century to the hot present. Laborer Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) is plagued by problems in his family, whose members are falling out of touch with each other. But a danger of unimaginable proportions is bearing down on planet Earth.

It takes the form of alien predators determined to destroy our civilisation, and they are technologically well equipped to do so. Personal problems take a back seat. The people, including Ray's family, must pull together if they are to have any chance of saving themselves...
