The 100% positive troll girl Poppy, who was a mere princess in the successful first episode, was promoted to queen, but fortunately it didn't affect her in any way. She rules her country with dancing, singing and her left behind, because where there's no trouble, reigning is a piece of cake. Her world would have continued to rotate peacefully to the pop beat, if not for a shocking revelation one day - Pop's Trolls are not the only inhabitants of the planet, there are other troll tribes living there, professing different musical styles.
So there are Techno Trolls, Country Trolls, and Rock Trolls. These are ruled by Queen Barbra, who favors not only a bit rougher music, but also the aggressive idea that rock is the only proper music and should be played all over the continent. This is no longer a problem that Poppy can solve with a warm hug and a song. And so, together with her best friend, Twig, she embarks on a music-filled journey to uncharted territories to find a way to stop her fellow rockers before the world is taken over by guitar riffs...
