The time of the royal ball, magical nuts and the lost slipper are just a few of the attributes of the famous film, which has become an emblematic Christmas film not only for its winter atmosphere. The popular film Three Peanuts for Cinderella, based on a screenplay by František Pavlíček, was a co-production between the former GDR and Czechoslovakia. The modern treatment, humorous insight and charming cast won over a wide audience, both domestic and international. More than four decades after its creation, the film has been digitally restored so that you can see and hear it as audiences did when it was first shown in 1973. The digital restoration, overseen by the National Film Archive, was supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
