Brian finally manages to join a party led by Dominic, who is literally crazy about illegal races, held mostly at night on the outskirts of Los Angeles. It's a huge spectacle for the audience of frenzied rides, but mostly an obsession for the pilots of the specially modified supercars. With a deafening roar of engines, hurtling through the city at several times the speed limit, they get everyone's adrenaline pumping. Money, prestige, the admiration of the girls. But for Dominic and his mates, racing isn't the only source of finance.
And that's the main reason Officer Brian wants to win his trust. Mysterious truck robberies have been on the rise lately, and the police and the FBI want to know the culprits before the racers take the law into their own hands.
