Why Experience Flic Story in 4K UHD?

The standalone 4K Ultra HD disc presents this 1970s crime drama restored in native 4K resolution directly from the original 35mm camera negatives, featuring HDR10 and Dolby Vision. High video bitrates capture the muted color palettes of 1940s Paris, period architecture, and intense lead performances with reference clarity. Furthermore, the uncompressed monaural soundtrack reproduces sharp French dialogue and Claude Bolling’s suspenseful musical score with crisp acoustic balance.

The true story of the hunt for France's enemy number one

In post-war France, ruthless and mentally unstable criminal Émile Buisson (Jean-Louis Trintignant) escapes from a psychiatric prison facility. Over the next three years, Buisson goes on a murderous crime spree, leaving dozens of dead bodies in his wake. Methodical Parisian detective Roger Borniche (Alain Delon) is assigned to track him down. What follows is a grueling, realistic cat-and-mouse game across France as Borniche battles uncooperative informants, bureaucratic red tape, and Buisson's violent outbursts...
