The story of the feature debut of director Stanislav Barabáš is set in the Slovak mountains during the Slovak National Uprising. Through its child heroes, it impressively tells of the horrors and senselessness of war, confronting the innocence of children with a destructive force that deeply affects their lives, dreams and desires and rips them from their carefree playfulness. Thus, rather unusually, instead of daring acts of soldiering, life on the edge of the frontline takes centre stage.
