Description:

A ruthlessly realistic look at the American West depicts former gunslinger and robber Munny coming to terms with his past. His gun has been silent for eleven years, and the worn-out man tries to take the best care of his children and his farm on the Kansas prairie. One day, a prostitute is slashed in a nearby town. The perpetrators are two cowboys who are symbolically "sentenced" by the local sheriff to pay a fine of seven horses. The other girls, however, put up a bounty for the disposal of the two cowboys. The substantial sum prompts the Schofield Kid to seek out Munny and ask for his cooperation.
The old gunslinger agrees on the condition that his former partner, Ned Logan, can also be recruited. He, too, put down his gun years ago and lives with an Indian woman on a small farm. The amount offered will convince even him. The sheriff tries to dissuade the aging gunmen from their plan. Beauchamp, a journalist gathering material on life in the West, has an unexpected opportunity to come face to face with the legendary gunmen...
The Expendables is a modern classic that "sums up everything I think about the Western," director and actor Clint Eastwood told the Los Angeles Times. Selected by the American Film Institute as one of America's 100 best films, the film received a dazzling digital re-write for its tenth anniversary and is embarking on a new journey to audiences, crowned with four Oscars for 1992, including best picture, directing, male lead (Gene Hackman) and editing (Joel Cox). Here, Eastwood and Morgan Freeman play aging gunslingers who take up arms one last time to earn their bounty, Richard Harris embodies the character of a hapless hitman, and Hackman is a lawman possessed of a hidden charm... and chilling brutality...
