Why Experience Evil Dead in 4K Ultra HD?

The **4K Ultra HD** format paired with advanced **HDR** technology elevates this visually dark and aggressive film to staggering new heights. Native 4K resolution highlights extreme details—from drenched red blood and decaying Deadite makeup to the raw wood textures of the isolated cabin. Deep, ink-like blacks enhance the claustrophobic atmosphere of the surrounding woods. Furthermore, the remastered **Dolby Atmos** surround sound mix immerses you in blood-curdling whispers, snapping branches, and the roar of a chainsaw echoing right through your home theater.

The Book of the Dead is open. The rain of blood begins.

Mia (Jane Levy), a young woman struggling with addiction, travels to a remote cabin in the woods accompanied by her brother and a group of close friends. In the dark cellar, they discover an ancient tome—the Naturom Demonto (Book of the Dead). When one of them reads the forbidden passages aloud, they unwittingly awaken an ancient evil dormant in the surrounding forest. The malevolent entity possesses the group one by one, turning friends into bloodthirsty Deadites with only one goal: total slaughter.

💡 Fun Facts from Production

• No CGI Allowed: Director Fede Alvarez was committed to realism, choosing to shoot the entire film without computer-generated imagery. Every gore effect, limb severance, and demon makeup was achieved practically on set.
• Record-Breaking Fake Blood: The production went through a staggering 70,000 gallons of fake blood in total, with 6,600 gallons (25,000 liters) used solely for the iconic climax scene featuring a torrential downpour of blood.
• Homage to Sam Raimi: Raimi's signature 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 makes a classic appearance parked outside the cabin, just as it did in the original 1981 film.
