Director Guy Ritchie's film tells a classic story in a very distinctive and timeless way in the form of a new action fantasy. When Arthur's father is murdered during his childhood, Arthur's uncle Vortigern (Jude Law) takes the crown. Robbed of his firstborn son's right of succession, Arthur has no idea who he really is, growing up in the harsh environment of the city streets. But when he manages to pull the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he must acknowledge his true origins...
